Britarch is no more

Post by John R G Wood »

I have had a look at the JISCmail website and now it looks as if Britarch has finally been removed. A great pity, especially as now I have lost a huge swathe of contacts. Britarch felt a bit like home within the archaeology community, a home from which I now have been evicted.

Do we know how many people have signed up to this forum? I wonder if we should be seeking to advertise its existence to bring in more people?

Sorry I didn't comment earlier. I was away. I suspected they had no intention of keeping Britarch, because if they did, they would have explained what they intended doing at a time people could have made helpful suggestions. Instead, it was obvious they knew what they intended doing was not going to be liked by most people on Britarch.
